Champions of the World at UK Primary Schools

Oompa-Loompas, witches and giant peaches will take over primary schools across the country when they celebrate a Dahlicious day of dressing up for charity.

Children can donate £1 to dress up as their favourite Roald Dahl character – they might look like twits, but after a giant peach of a day, they will be champions of the world!

Dahlicious Dress Up Day will officially take place on Friday 27th September 2013 – but schools can hold the event on any day they wish.

Those who don’t want to dress up can still take part by wearing Roald Dahl’s favourite colour – yellow.

At Unistage, we love Roald Dahl. And it’s great that schools around the country are slowly introducing the kids to stories like Fantastic Mr Fox and Matilda.

The money raised will go to Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity to help fund specialist nurses, support and equipment for seriously ill children life limiting conditions.

Children can also get involved in activities especially for the day. Schools that want to get the most from the day can use a catwalk or modular staging to allow the children to show off their costumes or even have a best outfit competition.

Stephen Huckle, Managing Director of Unistage, said: “Our modular staging will allow your children to show off their costumes and make the day even more exciting for them. Easy-to-use and extremely versatile staging is a welcome addition to any school for this kind of event.”
