We Will Provide A Stage For Poppy-Mai Fundraiser

We Will Provide A Stage For Poppy-Mai Fundraiser - Portable Staging | Modular Stages | Unistage Ltd

13May, 2016

On Bank Holiday Monday – May 30th 2016 – a huge, two part fundraiser event will be taking place at AFC Darwen Football Ground in Darwen to raise money for the awareness of children with rare cancers and promote small charities fighting for the same cause.

The event is running in honour and by the name of Poppy-Mai, a beautiful baby girl who was  diagnosed in March with a Progressive Malignant Rhabdoid Tumour, which later spread into the brain.

After uncovering the cancer – a particularly aggressive and highly rare form – doctors diagnosed that, 4 weeks after admittance into hospital, darling Poppy-Mai had only two days to live. She passed away peacefully in her father’s arms later that week.

Here is Poppy-Mai’s donation page, should you wish to contribute: https://www.gofundme.com/poppy-mai

It’s a tragic and heartbreaking situation which has, understandably, shaken parents Andy & Sammi down to their core. However, they have taken the worst of situations in their stride by setting up this fundraiser in Poppy-Mai’s name, which has really captured the hearts of thousands of people around the Blackburn and North West area.

See the Facebook page for the movement which is regularly updating with news and events here.
