Meet the team

Stephen Huckle

Managing Director

At Work: Stephen's background is as a design engineer and he invented the whole UniSTAGE concept. He continues to design additional products for the UniSTAGE range, as well as develop new ideas. Stephen is the founder and owner of UniSTAGE and our sister companies; UniPACE and Uni-PLAY.

At Play: Stephen enjoys the good things in life; fine dining, a good bottle of red and the idyllic lake district countryside. We wonder therefore, with his exquisite good taste how we all managed to work for him?

Gary Slater

General Manager

At Work: Gary has been with UniSTAGE since 2006 and he has a vast knowledge and experience of every aspect of our company, from demonstrating staging to prospective customers to production and even delivery.

At Play: Away from UniSTAGE Gary is very much a family man  and he especially likes it when his youngest daughter suggests they go and watch the local cricket team play. It's not because there's a bar there is it Gary? His recent purchase of a Vespa scooter has prompted jokes of a mid-life crisis!

Carl Steele

Sales Advisor

At Work: Carl will come out to you to demonstrate our various products and advise you on the best solution for your use. He is extremely helpful and will answer any questions that you may have.

At Play: Carl is passionate about cars...possibly a little too passionate about his MG. He loves that it was made in the UK but doesn't think this has anything to do with the alarm going off every time the sun hits it.

Victoria Walmsley

Sales & Marketing Manager

At Work: Victoria is responsible for the Sales and Marketing for UniSTAGE, dealing with all aspects of the sales process along with handling all advertising and marketing for the company. Her aim is to make your purchase as simple and pain free as possible, whilst ensuring you receive great levels of customer care.

At Play: Victoria is at her happiest soaking up the sun somewhere hot and drinking red wine.

Andrew Stewart

Office Manager

At Work: Andrew will deal with any account queries, that you may have, such as invoicing and payment issues. He also looks after purchasing and is a general all rounder!

At Play: The Biscuit King - has been known to eat a full packet of cookies with one brew. Andrew is also a massive sports fan, although this is questionable when you consider that he supports Leeds United.

Jodi O'Flynn

Sales Administrator

At Work: Jodi is one of the most recent additions to the Unistage family and deals with enquires, quotations and all of your customer service needs. Jodi is helpful, friendly, courteous and will assist you in your enquiry.

At Play: 

Paul Riley

Director, Uni-Play It's Educational

At Work: Paul is Managing Director of our other sister company Uni-Play It's Educational. Paul has worked for a number of years on outdoor play areas and playground markings from design through to installation and now brings his wealth of knowledge to Uni-Play.
